Project DescriptionRydell Chevrolet is the flag ship store for the Rydell Automotive Group. The store, which first opened for business in the 1950’s, is an icon in Grand Forks. H & R Construction was contracted to bring the store up to the new General Motors Standards.
General Motors which launched their E.B.E. (Essential Brand Elements) program required this store to undergo changes to furniture, fixtures, lighting, signage and interior finishes. Part of this program upgrade was a unique entry element system that allowed the dealer to maintain their current sloping curtain wall system, while providing the brand elements that the dealer is required to have under current program requirements. Construction started April 1st with completion in July (12 weeks). The project was broken into three phases to allow the dealership employees and customers access during construction.
