Sterling Computers
Project Description
H&R Construction was awarded Sterling Computers’ new corporate headquarters in North Sioux City, SD. We completed the transformation of the old Gateway “Mexico” Building in a 10 month time frame.
De-construction consisted of:
Complete removal of the end bay of the structure
Complete replacement of the exterior walls
Replacement and relocation of bracing
New roof
Removal of various sections of structural composite slabs on deck to create multiple atriums
Renovations involved the installation of vast amounts of exterior windows for natural lighting combined with an industrial feel of polished concrete floors. All the sales areas have custom acoustical baffles installed for noise control. The parking lot was removed and replaced along with new traffic control measures.
